The Memphis Grizzlies earned a big win for themselves on Sunday night, taking down the Sacramento Kings at home.
Memphis closed that promising team out with a 118-108 triumph.
The Kings are no longer an easy team to beat and they sure put up a fight against the Grizzlies on New Year’s Day.
But the Grizzlies were able to overpower them, partly because of the hard work and dominance of their team’s biggest player.
Steven Adams had 11 points and a resounding 23 rebounds for the game, giving him a huge, astonishing stat line that is rarely seen.

In fact, over the last 3 games, Adams has earned 61 rebounds.
These are numbers not often seen in the NBA and they show that Adams is easily one of the best centers in the league right now.
Adams now has two straight games on two straight nights with more than 20 rebounds.
Only six other players in the history of the league have achieved this.
However, Adams is the first Grizzlies player with 20+ boards in consecutive games.
Adams’ Big Nights
And Adams wasn’t facing off against just anybody.
The last two games had him go toe-to-toe with both Jonas Valanciunas of the New Orleans Pelicans and Domantas Sabonis of the Kings.
Adams is rebounding better than he has at any point in his career.
He is making a name for himself as a Defensive Player of the Year candidate.
He has gradually been getting better over the last few seasons.
For example, he was averaging 10 rebounds a game last season but now he’s putting up 11.2.
This is very good news for the Grizzlies, who value a strong back and frontcourt lineup.
While the backcourt is being held down by Ja Morant, Adams is making the team well-rounded on both ends of the court.
