The NBA is as popular as ever, with the league booming when it comes to revenue and fans tuning in during the regular season all the way through to the NBA Finals.
With the league being as successful as ever, NBA superstars are making more than ever, with payrolls for teams rising on an annual basis.
Every year, players set the bar a little higher in terms of their enormous contracts and how much they make per season, with the league inching toward having their first player making $100 million in one year.
Although that may still be years away, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic might be the first to get close to that number for one season in the NBA.
Doncic could reach $83.6 million in the final year of a supermax contract extension with the Mavericks, which is an insane number, to say the least, via ClutchPoints.

As the face of the Mavericks franchise since the retirement of Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki, Doncic has taken the league by storm with his style of play, as he’s one of the best scorers and passers in the league.
Although Doncic will become a wealthy man in the near future, Dallas is focused on making the team as competitive as possible, moving forward so the team doesn’t lose him.
As a result, Mark Cuban and company brought in fellow superstar Kyrie Irving, who recently re-signed with the team in hopes of making things work and turning the Mavericks back into perennial title contenders in the Western Conference.
