MLB star Scott Rolen, elected to the Hall of Fame, obviously won’t be on the 2024 ballot.
Jeff Kent, who spent 10 years without making it, will also be off it next year.
Huston Street, Bronson Arroyo, Mike Napoli, John Lackey, R.A. Dickey, Jhonny Peralta, J.J. Hardy, Andre Ethier, Jacoby Ellsbury, Matt Cain, Jered Weaver and Jayson Werth didn’t get the required five percent to keep their names on the ballot, and therefore won’t be eligible next year.
There is a lot of turnover, as you can see.
However, some stellar new names will be up for election in 2024.
Here is a list of players who are eligible for Hall of Fame voting in 2024 🗳️

That’s a very strong group of players.
David Wright had an amazing peak, but injuries robbed him a lot of playing time and, therefore, the chance to accumulate totals.
Joe Mauer didn’t have much power, but was a premier hitter and a good defensive catcher, making himself a very nice case for the Hall.
Like Rolen, Adrian Beltre was a two-way star and had even better totals, so he should gain election as a first-ballot entry.
Chase Utley is a very good candidate, too, with an amazing peak and 61.8 Wins Above Replacement (WAR).
He may have a longer path, though, due to a lack of totals.
The group as a whole is very, very talented and will be joined by some holdovers from the 2023 ballot like Manny Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez, Billy Wagner, Todd Helton, Bobby Abreu, Francisco Rodriguez, Mark Buehrle, Jimmy Rollins, Omar Vizquel, Carlos Beltran, Gary Sheffield, and Andruw Jones.
It looks like the National Baseball Hall of Fame will be adding some talent in the next couple of years.
