The American League East has long been considered one of the toughest and best divisions in Major League Baseball.
This year, it may end up being the best division out of all six in the league.
The Tampa Bay Rays have gotten off to a hot start and have staked out a 3.5-game lead in the division.
However, they have some company towards the top of the division.
The Baltimore Orioles have picked up right where they left off last year and have found themselves right back in the thick of the postseason chase.
The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees can never be counted out, and the Boston Red Sox have outperformed expectations.
On Twitter, MLB Network posted a graphic featuring the standings in the AL East.

As things stand now, every team in the AL East has a winning record and is at least four games above the .500 mark.
At the moment, no other division has more than two teams over the .500 mark.
In the AL Central, the Minnesota Twins are the only team with a winning record.
The AL West is a two-horse race between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.
But the AL East is stacked from top to bottom.
Very rarely is a division going to have all five teams above .500.
But the AL East is different this year.
Last year, only the Red Sox finished under .500, with the rest of the division finishing with winning records.
There is still time for things to fall into place, but the AL East is currently the most competitive and top-heavy division in all of baseball.
