The New York Mets had hopes of being one of the top teams in the National League this season.
They are coming off a 101-win campaign that saw them fall in the Wild Card round.
But, the first month of the MLB season has not gone how they had planned.
New York is 18-20 on the year and that currently has them in fourth place in the NL East.
One issue for the Mets is that they have been battling injuries this year.
Their starting rotation has been ravaged by injuries.
Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer have each missed time.
Now the whole rotation is in shambles as they head into their weekend series with the Nationals.
According to SNY Mets, all four of their starting pitchers this weekend are TBD.

To not have one healthy starter that they know they can count on is brutal.
Scherzer, Jose Quintana, and Carlos Carrasco are all unable to start this weekend.
Quintana and Carrarsco are on the injured list, while Scherzer is recovering from neck spasms.
It might make sense for the Mets to look at their minor league system to find a starter for this weekend.
They need someone that can give this team six or seven innings to save their bullpen.
But, the Mets’ pitching is not the only thing they need to fix.
Their lineup has been one of the worst in baseball of late.
They lead the league in most games being shutout with seven.
If they cannot turn it around quickly there may be no saving their season.
