Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are inseparable.
You cannot think of one without the other.
Curry is a staple in Warriors history and is still building on that legacy.
That is why him signing an extension with them should not come as a surprise.
However, the total amount of money is staggering.
He is going to be the first player in NBA history to sign two separate $200 million contracts.

Curry will now most likely finish his career with the Warriors.
This contract can turn troublesome in due time with age; just like John Wall and Russell Westbrook.
Their contracts have not aged gracefully.
That might not be Curry, but it can have some rough patches.
However, there is a chance it might not.
The Warriors are going all in with Curry being their franchise cornerstone for the next several years.
Was it a good idea?
They Are Ready To Compete Again
The Warriors dynasty was not that long ago, but it feels like it was.
It is now two seasons since they played in the NBA Finals.
That is after making it to the final game of the season five straight years.
However, the Warriors are trying to re-tool around their core in order to compete again.
Signing Curry to an extension is the first of their big moves this offseason.
They had two draft picks in the lottery in this draft.
Also, they signed Otto Porter to a deal.
They are also talking to Andre Iguodala to bring back another member from the dynasty squad.
Andre Iguodala is expected to speak with the Golden State Warriors during free agency, per source.

Curry had very little help last season, but the Warriors know that if they are going to run with him for the rest of his career, they need to fix the roster around him.
Curry Will Age Gracefully
The best part of Curry’s game is by far his shooting ability.
He is the greatest shooter in NBA history.
That skill will not disappear when he gets older.
He is not a player that uses his athleticism to score in the lane.
His domination is based on shooting the lights out.
As soon as he crosses half court, he becomes a threat.
This contract will take him to being 37 years old.
The shooting touch will not diminish.
At 32 years old, he arguably had his best season ever.
Other players that have signed big contracts in the latter half of their career seems to always end badly.
Jimmy Butler just signed a big extension with the Heat and people are already speculating how bad that contract will look in years four and five.
Curry is one of the best players ever and will continue to be on that level for years to come.
The Warriors need to give Curry everything he wants.
He is the best player in that franchise’s history and he wants to raise even more banners there.
Curry and the Warriors are synonymous with each other.
That is why this signing was magnificent and should not give anyone a single worry.
