The New York Giants will have a new GM and head coach this offseason.

That may still be a shock to owner John Mara, who thought he finally got it right with Dave Gettleman and Joe Judge.

But the turnover has become common for the organization as of late and that could continue all over the roster.

Daniel Jones is in the spotlight now after his third NFL season.

The former 2019 No. 6 overall pick will now be on his third head coach and second GM.

That is a lot to handle as a young player and it has shown in his play.

Jones has 45 touchdowns and 29 interceptions in three seasons, along with a 12-25 record as the starter.

The problems run much deeper than Jones and Mara addressed that Wednesday when speaking with the media.

#Giants co-owner John Mara on Daniel Jones: “We do feel Daniel can play. We’ve done everything possible to screw this kid up.”

Points to coaching/coordinator changes, O Line struggles. Says they need to get everything right around Jones and then make an “intelligent evaluation.”

Mara is right in saying the Giants have done everything to screw Jones up.

There is no real way to evaluate him until the proper pieces are in place.

John Mara Offers Another QB Update

Getting support from ownership is great for Jones.

Mara took it a step further by addressing the idea of the team even considering Deshaun Watson.

He shut it down right away.

Mara’s reasons for ruling out a Watson trade: Combination of the #Giants’ cap situation and the pending allegations.

The pending allegations hanging over Watson’s head will be a huge talking point for any team considering a trade with Houston for the quarterback.

Mara has decided to avoid his team another headache by riding with Jones and seeing what he can do.

This is a huge year for the organization because they must soon decide whether or not to pick up Jones’ fifth-year option.

Given this recent support, new GM Joe Schoen may have to do it as part of the new job.

I think they we should get waston not only because of his status it’s because he is a great talented quarterback who if giving a chance to leave Houston Will show his real talent and I feel he can get the Gman up n running again . We can’t forget about the 89 Yard run that Jones terrible fall he had nobody screwed Jones up he screwed his self upn the coaching staff screwed Him up n Him not knowing how to play n talk to his team n get understanding with his time but he wanted to more than his own team n I feel the rest of the team when I say this “get rid of Jones, and get waston “.
