The San Francisco Giants had a season to forget after a 107-win campaign in 2021.
This season was much different than the last in that San Francisco finished 81-81 during the regular season and fell short of the postseason.
Now, several notable players from this year’s team are free agents.
But as the offseason begins and these players hit the free agent market, there is one potential free agent that the Giants may keep their eye on, that being Aaron Judge.
Judge, a Bay Area native, broke the American League single-season home run record.
One Giants writer listed all the players hitting the market on Twitter and mentioned that Judge may be somebody the Giants could target.
Brandon Belt, Joc Pederson, José Álvarez and Shelby Miller are officially free agents. Carlos Rodón, who is expected to opt out, should join them.
So is Aaron Judge.
Let the #SFGiants offseason begin.

Giants Offseason Outlook
Of course, it would be a lot cheaper to re-sign Pederson, but with Judge available and his connections to the Bay Area, it would be hard to imagine the Giants not trying to make a play for the slugger.
The Giants are certainly a team to watch in the Judge sweepstakes.
On the other hand, they’ll need to find an ace if Rodon ultimately leaves.
Belt, one of the longest-tenured Giants, may have played his last game in a San Francisco uniform, so that could potentially put them in the market for a first baseman.
This offseason figures to be an interesting one for the Giants, as they have a chance to reel in one, or potentially two of the top free agents out on the market.
