If there is one question that will divide New York Giants fans, it revolves around Daniel Jones and whether he is the future franchise quarterback for the Giants.
Jones has been with the team since 2019, after being somewhat controversially drafted at No. 6 in that year’s draft.
After being immediately thrown into the spotlight in his first year due to the decline in the performance of veteran quarterback Eli Manning, Eli’s retirement in the following offseason meant that Jones was now the main QB in New York.
While he has had successes, he has also had many failures and injuries.
With the Giants not picking up his fifth-year option, it meant that this season, Jones has been playing for his NFL career.
Under new head coach Brian Daboll, Jones has appeared to have a massive improvement in form, especially during the early part of the season.
This has only made the Jones debate even fiercer.
"He's good. I think he's done a nice job, really since we got here…"

He Has Improved Under Daboll
In a recent interview, Coach Daboll said that Jones was “good” and had improved in performance since Daboll and his team arrived at the Meadowlands.
This is true.
After suffering through a carousel of head coaches, and the incompetence of former general manager Dave Gettleman, it seems that Jones has matured and rapidly improved in his performances, especially with his ball control.
The Giants currently have seven wins on the season so far, which is more than what was achieved in any season under Judge or Pat Shurmur.
Five of those wins have been obtained from Jones leading game-winning drives late in the fourth quarter.
But, does this performance lead to a new contract?
