The New York Giants went through an overhaul with their coaching staff and front office.
Coincidentally, they hired two individuals from the Buffalo Bills to fill the roles of head coach and general manager.
Former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll will take the reins as the top mentor while Joe Schoen joins him as general manager.
The Giants hope that the recent success of their fellow New York squad will rub off by hiring them.
But while there will be sweeping changes around the team, Schoen confirmed that the status quo will remain at quarterback.
Schoen: “Daniel Jones is our starting quarterback right now.”

ESPN NFL Nation reporter for the Giants Jordan Raanan quoted Schoen saying, “Daniel Jones is our starting quarterback right now.”
It may be a short sentence but it’s still a vote of confidence for the former Duke standout.
Better Situation For Jones?
The former first-round draft pick did show some flashes of brilliance during his three-year tenure as the Giants’ starter.
However, there’s a chance that he could have been limited by Joe Judge’s coaching acumen.
It’s still mind-boggling that the Giants hired him as head coach even if he mainly handled special teams for the New England Patriots.
But his era in The Big Apple is over and an offensive genius in Daboll will take over.
He gets some credit for turning the Bills into one of the NFL’s best offenses.
Daboll devised a system wherein Josh Allen eventually thrived as one of the league’s best young quarterbacks.
That said, the Giants are hoping that he can do the same with Jones.
Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done because they need to patch up their offensive line as well.
Likewise, Schoen adding the words “right now” is sort of cryptic as well.
Those words give a feeling that they might seek to replace him if he doesn’t pan out under Daboll.
