Saquon Barkley broke onto the scene for the New York Giants in 2018, winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
When he has been healthy, Barkley has been one of the most explosive running backs in the entire league.
Barkley and the Giants are currently in the midst of contract negotiations, as he is set to be a free agent.
Ahead of a potential contract extension, Giants general manager Joe Schoen commented on where both parties are currently at.
Said Schoen, “We have had productive conversations with his representatives, and will try to get something done.”
"He's a good player, he's a leader in the locker room, and he had a really good season for us, so we'll keep working with him as well…"

Schoen and the Giants have until March 15 to come to an agreement with Barkley.
The Giants are not only negating with Barkley, but with Daniel Jones as well.
Although Jones struggled in his first few NFL seasons, he was able to turn things around in 2022.
It appears that the Giants are committed to both players, and are determined to get deals in place ahead of the March 15 deadline.
Last season, the Giants not only made the playoffs but were able to win a playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings.
This was a step in the right direction for the Giants, but they will look to find further success in 2023, making a deep playoff run.
They will likely be heavily dependent on Barkley and Jones to get there, provided that both players stay on the team.
With two weeks left until March 15th, the Giants have a lot of work to do.
