Following their heartbreaking loss in the NFC Divisional Round to the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Giants enter the NFL offseason with plenty of questions.
For starters, will they be able — and willing — to hold on to Saquon Barkley? And how much are they willing to pay the injury-prone star?
Also, will they retain Daniel Jones after that terrible performance with the season on the line? Is he their guy after failing to beat the divisional rivals Eagles three times in a season? And how much would that cost them?
More than that, it seems like Brian Daboll will also need to find a backup quarterback for his team, as veteran Davis Webb is reportedly interested in making the transition from player to coach.
Webb had already gauged interest from the Buffalo Bills to become a QB coach last season.
So, after fulfilling his dream and goal of making a start in the NFL, it seems like the former Texas Tech and California standout is ready to call it a day as a player, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Giants’ backup QB Davis Webb, who was offered Buffalo’s QB coach job last off-season, has expressed interest in starting the transition from player to coach. After securing his first NFL start this season, Webb will consider making the jump to coaching for the right opportunity.

Webb was taken in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft as the 87th overall pick by the New York Giants.
He spent his entire NFL career in the state of New York, with one-year stints with the Giants and Jets before spending three seasons with the Buffalo Bills and then heading back to the Giants to join Brian Daboll.
He leaves the NFL with a 0-1 record, 168 passing yards on a 57.5% completion percentage, two total touchdowns (one rush, one pass), and 38 rushing yards.

After his first year Webb was very popular with the players and I think the heir apparent to Eli. Then Gettleman came in and purged a number of players to bring in “his guys”.
