The American League All-Stars found themselves in an early hole after the first inning, when the National League managed to put up two runs.
However, that slim lead would not last, as the American League came storming back in the top of the fourth.
With one out and Jose Ramirez on first, New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton timed one just right against Tony Gonsolin and hit it out of Dodger Stadium to tie the game.
Minnesota Twins star Byron Buxton followed up with a home run of his own to put the AL up for good as they held on for a 3-2 win.
Stats By STATS tweeted an interesting fact, that Stanton and Buxton became the first pair of players in baseball history to hit back-to-back game-tying and go-ahead home runs in the All-Star Game.

Stanton, Buxton Combine For History
This is some unique All-Star Game history, and it’s cool that it took place last night.
They were successive shots that ultimately sealed the deal and led the American League on their way to pick up their ninth consecutive All-Star Game victory.
The American League bullpen made those runs stand up as they went six scoreless innings after the two home runs.
But it’s crazy to think that this is the first time that that has ever happened in an All-Star Game, where two players hit back-to-back home runs that both tied and gave their side the lead.
All of that caps off a very exciting All-Star Week that featured the Futures Game, the Draft, the Home Run Derby, and the All-Star Game.
The second half of the season is now upon us, and we’ll see what happens next.
