The Georgia Bulldogs capped off the college football season with an undefeated record and a 65-7 blowout in the national title game against the TCU Horned Frogs.
Quarterback Stetson Bennett finished off his collegiate career – finally – and will pursue his NFL dream as Georgia searches for a new QB in 2023.
After the victory, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart gave a hilarious answer on why Bennett has to go:

Bennett turned 25 years old in October, which is incredibly old for a college player.
With the COVID rule, all players were given an extra year of eligibility.
On top of that, Bennett switched schools several times, allowing him to stick around to this age.
Nonetheless, Bennett played well despite a close call in the semifinal against Ohio State.
In the title game, Bennett went 18-of-25 for 304 yards with four scores, and he added another two touchdowns on the ground.
On the year, he threw 4,127 yards with 27 scores and seven interceptions as the Bulldogs finished with an undefeated record and back-to-back national championships.
He also was a Heisman Trophy finalist this season, and he will hold an impressive 29-3 career record as a starting QB for Georgia.
Sure, Bennett might be older than just about every player on the field, but he finishes his career with two straight college football national titles, and now he will prepare for the 2023 NFL Draft.
