The Toronto Blue Jays‘ hopes of winning the American League East division will likely come to an end very soon.
However, that doesn’t mean that their season is in jeopardy.
In fact, it’s quite the opposite.
They lead the AL Wild Card race by two games over the Tampa Bay Rays and 2.5 over the Seattle Mariners, so a postseason berth should be coming shortly.
While all this is going on, George Springer appears to be finding his groove at just the right time.
He hit two home runs yesterday against the Rays and has posted an incredible .995 OPS in his last 11 games.
This guy has a spring(er) in his step 😏😉
George Springer collected 2 long balls last night vs Tampa Bay as he continues to stay hot.

Spring(er) Board
This is encouraging for the Blue Jays, who are inching closer to locking up their spot in the postseason.
At 86-67, they have a lot of things going for them.
This would be one of them.
The 33-year-old Springer is hitting .264 on the season with 23 home runs and 71 RBI in 485 at-bats.
He’s also posted an .810 OPS and has stolen 13 bases.
Springer was signed by the Blue Jays prior to the 2021 season and has been a key contributor.
Last season, the Blue Jays fell one game short of the postseason.
Springer hit 22 home runs with 50 RBI and a .264 average last year.
This is the perfect time for Springer to be kicking it into gear.
The postseason is coming, and the intensity of the playoff atmosphere is in full swing.
The Blue Jays are very likely going to be a part of it, and Springer will be along for the ride.
They can ride his hot bat into October and potentially make a deep run with him, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Bo Bichette at the forefront.
