Garrett Wilson was one of the best rookie wide receivers in 2022, despite the New York Jets‘ struggles.
Even though the Jets struggled as a whole, including their quarterback position, Wilson was able to find a foothold in this offense in his first year in the league.
This morning, Wilson spoke up about what the Jets could look like with a new quarterback.
"When you get someone like Aaron Rodgers, you immediately become a contender. Knowing what we had last year and what we put on film, we know we're close. If we get someone like him, I immediately expect to be there."

In 2022, Wilson put up a stat line of 82 receptions, 1,103 yards, and four touchdowns.
Of course, Wilson was able to achieve success with a combination of Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Mike White throwing him the ball.
What could an Aaron Rodgers-led offense look like for Wilson and the Jets?
In the snippet above, Wilson comments on the Rodgers rumors, understanding that the former MVP could work wonders for their team.
Rodgers is a 17-year NFL veteran, and although he has spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers, his status with the team is currently in jeopardy.
The Jets have been a rumored destination for him all along, but those talks have heated up as of late, especially with the consideration that Nathaniel Hackett was recently named the Jets’ offensive coordinator.
Hackett, of course, was the OC in Green Bay during Rodgers’ back-to-back MVP seasons.
Will players like Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Breece Hall be enticing enough for Rodgers to leave the Packers?
Wilson believes that he would make an instant impact on the team.
Ultimately, this is Rodgers’ decision, and NFL fans could be waiting for several weeks to hear the verdict.
