The series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves was played several days ago, yet it’s still a hot topic on social media.
A hilarious play involving Freddie Freeman, the man who played in Atlanta for more than a decade and departed via free agency to the Los Angeles Dodgers, and his replacement Matt Olson made it to Twitter.
“The visual of Matt Olson hitting Freddie Freeman with the chop is aging unbelievably,” Talkin’ Baseball tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

Olson was celebrating a play and, without noticing it, he hit Freeman with the chop.
He immediately noticed it and apologized to Freeman, who seemingly accepted them and acknowledged it wasn’t on purpose.
It all ended with a pat on the back, but it was really funny at the time.
Freeman Has Been In The News All Week
Amid controversy regarding whether his agent informed him about the Braves’ last offer or not, Freeman fired his representation and the situation on that front remains fluid.
He ended up signing with the Dodgers on a six-year, $162 million pact, as the Braves traded for Olson to replace him.
Olson was also extended, to an eight-year, $168 million contract.
The lefty-hitting Olson is slashing .253/.348/.481 with 12 home runs and 42 RBI: nice numbers, but not quite elite.
He has showed in the past he is capable of much more.
Freeman, meanwhile, is also having a nice year in Los Angeles, batting .304/.386/.490, but with a relatively low home run output: nine.
Both teams are expected to contend for the World Series title, and both players are performing adequately.
In the end, it’s hard to complain about how things unfolded, but Freeman probably wanted to retire as a Brave.
