Frank Vogel’s time coaching the Los Angles Lakers has come to an end.
After a dreadful season that some people are calling the worst in LA’s history, it is expected that Vogel will be fired on Monday.
No one is surprised by this move – the writing has been on the walls for months now.
With this firing, Vogel joins a prestigious club of coaches who were cut loose while coaching a LeBron James team.

Vogel now sits alongside Luke Walton, David Blatt, Mike Brown, and Paul Silas.
Each of these guys tried their hardest with James and his squad but each of them was let go.
Is it true that James is the most difficult player to coach?
LeBron Strikes Again
Some people say that James pulls strings behind the scenes to get rid of coaches he is unhappy with.
There may be some truth to that – James is such a talented player that he gets pretty much whatever he asks for.
If he isn’t pleased with someone, that person will probably go.
But there is another reason related to James that causes coaches to be fired.
James is one of the greatest players of all time – definitely one of the best ones playing today.
Front offices want and need to capitalize on that.
If they feel that a team isn’t living up to its potential, they will get rid of the coach in hopes of finding someone who can lead them to a championship.
When you have James on your team, you’re aiming for nothing less than a Finals victory.
Some of James’ former coaches were canned because they weren’t able to do just that.
Time is running out for James on the Lakers – the next hire they make better be able to take them to the Finals again.
