There are a lot of problems with the Los Angeles Lakers.
In fact, there are so many problems that there are too many to count.
Head coach Frank Vogel is well aware of some of the issues plaguing LA and he’s doing something about it.

Following yet another loss on Saturday, it was reported Monday that Vogel was forcing every Laker player to make 25 free throws before the day was done.
Vogel’s decision highlights just how much the team is struggling and how some of the troubles circling the team are related to elementary, basic NBA ideas.
Lots Of Lakers Losses
Vogel’s demand that his team practice free throw skills is the closest thing they will get to a reset, which is exactly what they need.
It comes just days before the All-Star break when Los Angeles will have some time off and will be able to reevaluate and formulate a game plan for the rest of the season.
The team has been having problems with free throws but they have also been having issues with other simple, run-of-the-mill basketball concepts too.
Their defense has been sloppy all season, with certain players often forgetting to stay on top of their opponents.
Additionally, easy lay-ups, lazy passes, and an overall feeling of defeat have permeated every facet of the team.
Vogel is trying to wake the team up and get them to focus on the basics in hopes that it will jumpstart something inside of them.
Now that the team has settled on not making any trades and riding out the season with the squad they have, Vogel will do whatever he can to get them in the right headspace to make a playoff run.
But as many analysts and fans have pointed out, the clock is ticking and there isn’t much time left to turn it around.
