In baseball, or in all sports for that matter, teammates see each other as brothers and sisters.

They fight for one another and give everything they have to help each other succeed for one common goal.

The same can be said for the New York Mets, who are off to a blazing hot start in 2022.

With a new manager and a stacked roster, the Mets are rejuvenated and have a chance to be one of baseball’s best teams.

Francisco Lindor is already showing some love and support for his teammates, doing everything he can to keep them motivated.

The star shortstop told second baseman Jeff McNeil that if McNeil wins a batting title this year, he will buy him a car.

Francisco Lindor told Jeff McNeil in the clubhouse that he would buy him a car if McNeil wins the batting title. I told Lindor I have got it on tape. Said Lindor: "I didn't say what kind of car."

Motivation 101

This is how you motivate your teammates.

McNeil has a lot to play for now.

Granted, he’s one of the best hitters in a stacked Mets lineup, but with Lindor saying he’ll get him a car, that’ll give McNeil a reason to focus on winning the batting title.

Who wouldn’t want a new car?

And this isn’t like “The Price is Right”, where you bid.

No, Lindor will actually buy McNeil a car if he takes home the NL batting title.

It’s not known what kind of car Lindor will be buying McNeil.

Also, we don’t know who will win the batting title, but if it’s McNeil, Lindor has a major promise to keep and deliver on for his teammate.

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of car McNeil gets if he is indeed the one to take home the batting title.

Will it be a new Buick?

What about a Honda?

Or maybe Lindor goes even bigger and gets McNeil a truck.
