Francisco Lindor is the type of player that even when he’s struggling, no matter how bad, you can never take him for granted.
The New York Mets‘ star shortstop can turn it on at any given moment and make you sorry for doubting him.
So, it’s only natural that after such a tough stretch, Lindor has started to pick it up a little.
It was only a matter of time before he got going again and played a role in the Mets’ dominance of the National League East division.
Mets insider Pat Ragazzo tweeted about what Lindor has done lately, showing his stats over the last seven games and where his season totals stand right now.
Francisco Lindor’s last 7 games:
.333/.424/.556, .980 OPS, 10 RBIs, 9 runs scored, 1 HR, 4 BBs
Has brought his numbers up to .244/.333/.419, .752 OPS, 7 HRs, 32 RBI. Also leads all NL shortstops in fWAR

“Mr. Smile” Is Back
You just can’t count out Lindor.
He’s a guy that you can’t keep down for too long.
He will always find a way to pick things up and show that he’s still capable of being one of the best players in all of baseball.
Mets fans had hit the panic button and were losing their patience with Lindor.
But “Mr. Smile” has rewarded them for their patience and has given them a reason to smile.
He always figures out a way.
But rest assured, Mets fans can breathe a sigh of relief regarding their star shortstop and know that if their team is going to make a run, he will be at the center of it, picking up clutch hits and making highlight reel plays out at shortstop.
And from here, he’ll only continue to get better.
The season is still young, and there’s no time like the present to heat up and start contributing for a team that has its sights set on a championship.
