New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor is one of the hottest hitters on the planet.
In fact, he is one of the reasons the Mets have been able to hold off the Atlanta Braves for months in the NL East standings.
He is playing like a man who was worth four prospects and a $341 million contract.
“Francisco Lindor has a 10-game hitting streak and is batting .421 over the life of it. He ended the first half with an 11-game hitting streak, which is tied for the Mets’ longest of the year. If you do the arithmetic, you’ll find Lindor has hit safely in 21 of his last 22 games,” Mets insider Anthony DiComo tweeted.

For the season as a whole, Lindor has a .262/.338/.459 line with 19 home runs and 74 RBI.
His .797 is his highest mark since 2019, and it’s on the rise.
The Mets’ Arrow Is Pointing Up With Lindor Hot And Recent Reinforcements
The 66-38 Mets have won eight of their last 10 games, and now have both Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom healthy for the first time this season.
Lindor is a big reason why they are so good and hard to beat.
Besides his incredible defense, he has been particularly hot in the last seven games.
Over that span, he is slashing .440/.548/.880 with three home runs and eight RBI.
His good performance has carried over the last 15 games, too, as he slashing .368/.463/.614.
As long as he is healthy, he will be one of the best and most important players on a contending team.
The Mets are relying on him to provide good offensive numbers in addition to his excellence with the glove.
So far, he is delivering on that promise.
