The Tennessee Titans have fired their GM, Jon Robinson.
While this was seen as a shock to many Titans fans initially, more and more details are emerging of the behind-the-scenes details of this firing.
Titans coach Mike Vrabel didn't want to trade AJ Brown. Jon Robinson did it anyway. On Sunday Brown had 119 yards and 2 TDs as his new team blew out the Titans. And now Robinson is paying the price. https://t.co/ENqmVGosx7

During the NFL Draft, Robinson traded wide receiver superstar A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In return, the Titans received the Eagles’ first-round pick, which turned into another wide receiver, Treylon Burks.
Burks was a standout at the University of Arkansas, and before the draft, was regarded as one of the top receiving prospects.
While his talent and athleticism have been on display in the NFL, it has been marred with injury, and he has only played in eight of the Titans’ games during the 2022 NFL season.
The Aftermath Of The Brown Trade
In the eight games that Burks has participated in this season, he is responsible for 25 receptions, 359 yards, and one touchdown.
Brown has been having a banner year with the Eagles after the trade.
In 12 games with the Eagles, Brown has recorded 61 catches for 950 yards and nine touchdowns.
While it might look like the Eagles won this trade by a landslide on paper, the jury is still out on Burks, as he hasn’t gotten a fair shot in the league due to his injuries.
However, the bigger issue, at least between Robinson and the rest of the front office, was a lack of listening and communication with Mike Vrabel.
Vrabel has coached the Titans to a 48-29 record since 2018 and allegedly wanted Brown to stay.
Without this trade, Robinson might still be employed by the Titans.
