The New England Patriots started the season with a close loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
They looked fairly competitive vs. the Miami Dolphins as well before finally getting their first win of the season vs. the New York Jets.
Notably, that might have been their highest point of the season, as they plummeted by scoring just 3 points in their past two games, all while allowing 72.
However, former CB Asante Samuel believes the team would win a Super Bowl if Tom Brady came out of retirement. (via TMZ and JPA Football).

Per Samuel, Brady is so good that he could come back from retirement and with his 8th Super Bowl ring with this Patriots team right now.
Needless to say, that sounds like a bit of a stretch.
Mac Jones hasn’t played well this season, but it’s not like he has a lot of weapons to work with.
Bill O’Brien’s offense hasn’t been much better than last year’s, and their offensive line isn’t appealing for a 40-year-old man looking to avoid getting hit.
That ship has sailed already.
Tom Brady will likely never come back, and even if he were to, he wouldn’t just do it mid-season to try and rescue a team with a flawed roster.
