New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is on the right track to more success in the NFL.
It’s scary to think how he will come back after that disappointing loss to the Buffalo Bills in their Wild Card encounter last season.
Likewise, his rookie season numbers are better than what two NFL legends had in their first year.
In 1998, Peyton Manning had 3,739 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions for the Indianapolis Colts.
Meanwhile, Tom Brady played only one game in his rookie campaign and completed one pass for six yards.
For full disclosure, Jones had 352 completions, 3,801 yards, and 22 touchdowns for New England.
Based on those numbers, is it safe to say that Jones will have a comparable career to those two icons?
It’s still early to tell if Jones will have a resume as impressive as Brady and Manning.
But while it may take time before he collects individual accolades on a regular basis, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III sees Jones achieving the game’s ultimate prize.
Mac Jones is MOST LIKELY to win a ring FIRST of the rookie QBs who played serious time last year. Bill Belichick and the @Patriots are defensive masterminds, out coach other teams and Mac Attack will stretch the field more after last year has his confidence on ROLL TIDE LEVELS.

Griffin tweeted, “Mac Jones is MOST LIKELY to win a ring FIRST of the rookie QBs who played serious time last year. Bill Belichick and the @Patriots are defensive masterminds, out coach other teams and Mac Attack will stretch the field more after last year has his confidence on ROLL TIDE LEVELS.”
Jones Taking A Piece Of Belichick’s Mind
It’s no accident that the Patriots managed to win ten games with a rookie quarterback last season.
Belichick is great at finding advantages and Jones is developing that same mentality on every snap.
Likewise, it’s not that New England is devoid of talent because they have Kendrick Bourne, Damien Harris, Nelson Agholor, Hunter Henry, and Jonnu Smith on offense.
With a solid unit surrounding him, Jones has efficiently run their attack by pushing the right buttons at the right time.
It’s that approach that helped the Patriots win six Super Bowls and Jones will have a chance to add to that collection.
