The New York Jets are already gearing up for the future with their moves during the offseason.
The Jets also had a solid draft class led by cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner.
They also took wide receiver Garrett Wilson and traded up for defensive end Jermaine Johnson II.
The Jets completed their draft with Breece Hall, Jeremy Ruckert, Max Mitchell, and Micheal Clemons.
These additions should help the Jets move up from the 26th-ranked offense in terms of total yards per game (306.4).
Likewise, they were the league-worst in yards allowed at 397.6 and points surrendered at 29.6 per game.
But despite the moves they made to improve their roster, former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn still isn’t sold on the Jets.
Former #NFL QB Brady Quinn (@Brady_Quinn) is not a fan of the #Jets this year, ‘their season is going to be over before the bye’ + ‘there is a realistic scenario that they start 1-8 maybe 0-9’ + ‘I’m not a believer in Zach Wilson’ 😳: 🎥 @CBSSportsHQ #TakeFlight pic.twitter.com/NppGilJONl

The Jets Zone host Paul Andrew Esden Jr. tweeted, “Former #NFL QB Brady Quinn (@Brady_Quinn) is not a fan of the #Jets this year, ‘their season is going to be over before the bye’ + ‘there is a realistic scenario that they start 1-8 maybe 0-9’ + ‘I’m not a believer in Zach Wilson.'”
That’s a bold claim from Quinn and he expounded that the Jets will get five wins in 2022.
Why Quinn Isn’t Sold On The Jets
Aside from having no faith in Wilson, Quinn also declared that the Jets’ season will be over before their bye in Week 10.
Playing the AFC North teams might be a tough ordeal for Jets considering that it’s one of the league’s most challenging divisions.
Their schedule doesn’t get any easier after that because they will have the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills before Week 10.
Quinn does have a point because it’s hard to be optimistic for the Jets when they are facing way better teams.
