The NFL is filled with spectacular quarterbacks.
However, some individuals within NFL media are dismissive of the term “superstar,” “elite,” or “generational.”
To their credit, whenever a player has an above-average performance, overreactions can happen, giving a player a label that they might not necessarily deserve.
One of the top NFL analysts highlighted this in his appearance on “Get Up” this morning.
"In this league, too often we confuse good, with star, with superstar. It is only three superstar quarterbacks in this league. It's Allen, Burrow, and Mahomes. … Jalen Hurts is not a superstar."

Bart Scott contends that Jalen Hurts is not one of the league’s best quarterbacks and that there are only three that deserve to be labeled as a superstar.
What defines a superstar?
This season, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Patrick Mahomes all out-performed Hurts in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
Allen had the slight edge over Hurts in rushing yards but Hurts eclipsed both Mahomes and Burrow in this stat, by quite a wide margin.
Granted, Hurts did miss two games due to injury, so he likely would have surpassed Allen in this category as well.
NFL media can be quite harsh.
The fact that the Eagles had the best record in the NFL is nothing to sneeze at, and Hurts was a massive part of that.
If Hurts can knock off the San Francisco 49ers this weekend and have a chance at a Super Bowl victory, will the critics calm on him?
Hurts is an MVP finalist, along with Burrow, Mahomes, and Allen.
At this point, it appears that he is seen as one of the NFL’s top four quarterbacks, at least in terms of the MVP race.
