Being an NFL player is perhaps the most physically demanding thing a professional athlete could do.
You have to develop and build your body depending on the position you play, and offensive tackles have to be big, strong, and quite prominent.
That’s why it’s quite shocking to see former NFL OT Russell Okung going from 330+ pounds to 100 pounds lighter in a matter of months, and he recently shared the secret behind that incredible body transformation.
The journey from being a 330+ lbs @NFL football player to 100+ lbs lighter – has been unreal! A new me, a new chapter.
The number one question I keep hearing is: "how did you do it?" pic.twitter.com/bLBDGe1h7c

Okung claims that he fasted for 40 full days, living off water and water only.
He said that the experience was so enlightening and rich that he also felt lighter in spirit, mentally, and emotionally.
Okung also said that he plans to do that 40-day fasting again, citing that it silenced his physical hunger and allowed him to fully reset his mind, body, and soul.
The former Carolina Panther added that he knows fasting isn’t for everybody, but he believes it was life-changing for him.
Okung said that this journey allowed him to drop not only weight but also old habits and old ways of thinking, adding that he’s now a more free version of himself and that he’s now healthier and much happier.
This is perhaps one of the most remarkable body transformations of any former NFL player in the history of the league.
Needless to say, those who feel encouraged by his story and journey should be quite cautious about whatever they decide to do, and they should consult with a professional before making any potentially dangerous decisions.
