Jalen Hurts came into Super Bowl 57 with a chip on his shoulder.
The former second-round pick is no stranger to people doubting him.
While he took the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl, some fans still doubted his ability to beat an elite team.
However, Hurts had an overall solid performance during the Super Bowl, despite his team losing.
His performance had a former NFL defensive back singing his praises.
To Jason McCourty, the performance from Hurts in Super Bowl 57 made him “the MVP of the game.”

While he adds in how the Eagles “fell short” of winning the game, he takes nothing away from Hurts.
Everything the young quarterback did on Sunday saw him having a record-breaking performance.
His three rushing touchdowns, one passing touchdown, 304 passing yards, and 70 rushing yards were all outstanding.
With these numbers, he broke, tied, and set Super Bowl records.
While these records didn’t get him the MVP of the game, they got the respect of McCourty.
He notes how Hurts was making the tough completions and had a stat line that many felt Patrick Mahomes was going to have against the Eagles.
However, the amazing performance from the young quarterback wasn’t enough to overcome the Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite his four total touchdowns, the Eagles’ defense wasn’t good enough to stop Mahomes.
While Hurts had some amazing numbers, he made one costly mistake, which was game-changing,
His fumble, which the Chiefs returned for a touchdown, was a killer for the team.
That one mistake took away an MVP honor that he otherwise deserved.
It also prevented the Eagles from winning their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
