No one thought the Philadelphia Eagles had any shot at making the Super Bowl coming into the 2022-23 NFL season.
While some felt the team made good offseason moves, some NFL analysts didn’t believe in Jalen Hurts.
However, the Eagles are in the Super Bowl thanks to Hurts and their offense.
While the team fought hard to reach Super Bowl 57, former NFL cornerback Jason McCourty feels there’s one reason the Eagles might lose on Sunday.
For him, he feels Patrick Mahomes is a one-man army that can “ignite,” the Kansas City Chiefs to a win.

While he credits the offensive line of the Eagles for the team’s great ground game, he still believes in Mahomes.
However, he also feels if the Eagles do a ground-and-pound running game against the Chiefs, it can stall Mahomes.
While his faith in the Chiefs’ star quarterback is great, he neglects to talk about the injuries that they have on their roster.
They have several players who won’t make the Super Bowl because of injuries, and a few more who are battling through injuries.
Both Mahomes and Kadarius Toney are dealing with ankle issues.
While Mahomes will play, and Toney is likely to play, they both aren’t 100%.
Even the Chiefs top tight-end Travis Kelce has been dealing with back issues.
With so many key players not at 100% for the Chiefs, it’s hard to sell the Eagles short.
Their defense has caused plenty of problems for opponents, as they rank in the top-five in sacks and turnovers.
With their defense causing issues like this, it will be difficult for Mahomes to overpower them.
