The Western Conference semifinal between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors has been wild, to say the least.
Between the multiple flagrant fouls, the ejections, the injuries, and the blowout win on Wednesday night, this series has had something for everyone.
It’s been a true battle of two titanic teams and must-see TV for any NBA fan.
The series has also created some strong opinions about the Grizzlies.
The Memphis Grizzlies really has been the better team is the series. Golden State lucky that Ja hurt!

Take Kendrick Perkins for example: the former NBA star and current analyst feels strongly about the power of Memphis.
On Wednesday night, Perkins tweeted: “The Memphis Grizzlies really has been the better team [in] the series. Golden State lucky that Ja hurt!”
Is the big man right?
Are the Grizzlies really that special?
Golden Grizzlies
The Grizzlies being better than the Warriors is a matter of opinion and, therefore, completely subjective.
But no matter how you feel about Memphis, you can’t deny that this team has made a huge impact and impression throughout the league.
They have had some tough breaks this series – the loss of Morant is hard and the first loss was a nail-biter.
Yet they have stuck with it through it all.
Their lowest point was in Game 3 when they fell by 30 points after losing Morant to a knee injury.
Aside from that game, they have stayed close to the Warriors through it all.
And then there’s Wednesday night’s Game 5 when they positively destroyed Golden State.
Of course, all of this praise will be bittersweet if the Grizzlies end up losing the series.
But even if they don’t make the Western Conference Finals, the Grizzlies are officially on the radar of millions of fans.
They are now one of the most celebrated and exciting teams in the league.
