As the old saying goes, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” and such is the case with former MLB star Andruw Jones and his son Druw.
Of course, Andruw was a unique talent, and made a name for himself while playing for the Atlanta Braves.
But Druw isn’t too far off from replicating the greatness of his father.
He has power and already has shown off his ability to hit some long home runs.
He also wears No. 25, Andruw’s old number.
A video recently surfaced of Druw going yard, but the most impressive thing about it as that he was being heckled with “overrated” chants, and quickly silenced the critics.
Druw Jones receives "overrated" chants.
Druw Jones goes YARD. 🔥
And yes, that’s Andruw Jones’ son.

Lesson Learned
Druw taught these hecklers a valuable lesson and put them right back in their place.
It’s always nice to see athletes prove their critics wrong and keep going about their business as if nothing ever happened.
Druw has the potential to be a superstar, and he showed it with that big swing.
The crowd’s reaction is the best part.
They know they made a mistake messing with Druw, and they are in complete awe when he puts a dent into that baseball.
There was a last-ditch effort by the center fielder to pull that one down, but it was to no avail, as Druw began circling the bases.
Sports give athletes a great opportunity to show what they’re made of and to prove their doubters wrong, and Druw certainly did that.
It remains to be seen where Druw will end up.
Will he make it to MLB?
He certainly seems to have Major League level talent, and with Andruw as his mentor, he has the potential to be a special player.
