The MLB trade deadline will be one of the most highly anticipated in recent years.
That is because Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani may be available for trade.
Ohtani will be an unrestricted free agent after this season and it is uncertain if he will re-sign in LA.
The Angels have not made the playoffs since Ohtani signed with them.
That is why it seems more and more likely that the Angels might look to trade the former MVP.
If Ohtani is available, just about every team that is willing to pay him will be interested.
Some of the names that come to mind are the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees.
But, Pedro Martinez thinks there is another team that should be a potential landing spot.
As shared by B/R Walk-Off, Martinez thinks the New York Mets would be a good spot for Ohtani.

The Mets have struggled so far this season.
But they have shown they are not afraid to make big moves and spend money.
Acquiring Ohtani via trade will require giving up a lot of prospects.
He has the highest trade value in MLB and the Angels will not settle for anything less.
But the Mets have a decent pool of prospects that could entice the Angels.
Yet, the Mets would also have to make Ohtani the highest-paid player in MLB history.
That is the type of contract he will demand and should get.
If the Angels do not start to play better, the noise around a potential Ohtani move will only get louder.
