Reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge is set to suit up for the New York Yankees for the next nine seasons.
The slugger became a free agent after a 62-homer season, but was ultimately retained by the Bronx Bombers.
The 30-year-old was the AL MVP, and even earned the title of captain for the Yankees, making him the first to carry that title since the great Derek Jeter.
But there are many reasons why Judge is such a fantastic player.
On MLB Network, former slugger Sean Casey broke down the reigning MVP as a player and discussed what makes him great.

Casey was asked about whether or not his swing could hold up as he ages.
Casey stated that he believes Judge’s power stroke will age quite well and then showed examples of what he was referring to, including his 61st and 62nd home runs late in the 2022 season.
However, there are other things to look out for when concerning Judge.
Casey also talked about his baserunning and speed and how it impacts games, showing clips of him stealing bases and showing off his baserunning expertise.
But his defense is also pretty solid.
Judge is a plus defender with a cannon for an arm and can also make some rather difficult plays out in the field, including a diving catch to rob Alex Bregman in the ALCS.
The slugger was very close to the triple crown, but is also a threat in many other facets of the game and should not be overlooked.
