Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has become one of the biggest talking points around NBA circles right now.
The talented point guard was one of the best players in the league this season, ranking fourth in assists per game and averaging north of 27 points per contest.
However, his off-court behavior raised plenty of concerns, and it may have already caught up to him.
Morant will be away from the team indefinitely after being suspended for two games for showing up a gun on his Instagram Live.
Moreover, the league could punish him further for having a gun on the team’s plane.
People are worried about Morant throwing his career down the drain for his new-found attitude, and multiple athletes who dealt with similar things in the past have reached out to him with some pieces of advice.
That’s the case with former NFL and New York Giants star Plaxico Burress, who urged Morant to learn from his mistakes.

For those who aren’t familiar with Burress’ story, he actually suffered a self-inflicted injury on his right thigh after his gun slipped at the club, and he accidentally pressed the trigger.
He also dealt with multiple altercations with the law over his gun possession, and he faced at least nine civil lawsuits throughout his career.
Morant is one of the most talented and promising young players in the league, and watching him on the court has become a treat to the fans, and even his rivals.
Hopefully, he’ll learn from this experience and come back more mature.
