But the final batch of fan votes proves that loyal NBA followers have made up their minds about who should play in the game.
LeBron James again has the highest number of fan votes, with 6,506,862.
Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo is just ahead of Kevin Durant in the Eastern Conference frontcourt votes, with 5,970,196 to Durant’s 5,838,182.
Other superstars like Nikola Jokic, Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry, and Luka Doncic have all garnered enough votes to be starters for their teams.
Were there any major surprises in this final round of voting from the fans?
Not really, this last batch was just confirmation of what we had seen before.
However, it is still exciting and a bit shocking to see players like Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers, Derrick Rose of the New York Knicks, Nic Claxton of the Brooklyn Nets, and Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings acquire so much support.
At the start of this season, few people thought they’d be generating so much buzz.
The All-Star Game is a chance for fans to show the league who they love and who has the most loyal supporters.
It is a good snapshot of the state of the league and the biggest movers and shakers inside of it.
We still aren’t 100% sure who will participate in the game next month but after this last round of voting, we do know who has the most love from the fans.
