Everyone around MLB is ready for the owner-imposed lockout to come to an end.
Mike Trout is no different, and he shared a statement on his Instagram, stressing that he wants to play baseball, but also that getting the next CBA done and done right is of the utmost importance.
He also went on to call out MLB and Rob Manfred for imposing the lockout, not negotiating in good faith, and cancelling games and reiterated that the players will stand together for the sake of the game, its fans, and the next generation of baseball talent.
Fernando Tatis Jr. added Trout’s statement to his Instagram story, using the crown and speaking emojis to show praise for the center fielder.

Standing United
The players will not be divided.
They will stand their ground until they get what they want, and they should continue to do just that.
The players want to reach a fair deal that is beneficial to both sides, and they will stop at nothing until that deal is reached.
It’s nice to see the players standing by one another and showing solidarity in the face of one of the most challenging times in baseball history.
The players are as united as ever and are determined to not give up on getting what they deserve.
What’s Next?
It’s time for the owners to make some more compromises and help accelerate the bargaining process.
Though progress was made in Jupiter, there still remain some issues that continue to hold up the process of getting a new CBA put in place.
We can only hope that the players continue to fight for what’s right and get what they deserve.
