A week has passed since Fernando Tatis Jr. had an 80-game PED suspension levied his way.
The San Diego Padres have been without him since he suffered a wrist injury in a motorcycle accident during the lockout, but he had just begun a rehab assignment and appeared close to returning.
However, he tested positive for a banned substance, which resulted in his suspension.
Tatis later came out and said that he had been using it to treat ringworm.
Recently, Tatis reportedly met with Padres management, as he said he would.
A lengthy meeting between Fernando Tatís Jr. and A.J. Preller has concluded.

Tatis, Preller Meet To Address Suspension
One can only speculate what was said in that meeting, but we can all jump to a similar conclusion here, that Tatis was there to address his actions and accept accountability, as he should.
Tatis now has a task on his hands, and that task is to regain the trust of Padres management, his coaches, the fans, and his teammates.
The ringworm story doesn’t seem plausible.
But in this meeting, we can guess that Tatis and AJ Preller, the Padres general manager, spoke about the incident and the recent string of unfortunate events that have taken place with the player.
The situation has most likely been addressed by Padres management, with Tatis explaining his side of the story.
Preller most likely tried to gauge if Tatis understood his mistakes and is ready to work to try and learn from them.
Now, it’s up to him to try and regain the trust of his coaches, teammates, and the fans.
Tatis will obviously sit out the remainder of the 2022 season and will miss a good chunk of the 2023 season.
