Patrick Mahomes is one of the more likable superstars in all of sports.
He never does anything controversial and is simply fun to watch.
But there is one thing hurting his reputation.
That would be the actions of his fiancee, Brittany Matthews, and his brother, Jackson.
Jackson Mahomes famously did a TikTok dance on Sean Taylor‘s number in Washington and draws hate on social media at just about every turn.
Matthews is usually with him on the sidelines at games drawing attention as well.
Her latest action has once again resulted in backlash.

She posted a video of herself spraying Kansas City Chiefs fans with champagne after the team’s thrilling win Sunday.
To some, this was not a big deal.
But others were quick to reply with disdain and disgust.
You probably should delete this video, there’s nothing cool about spraying champagne on people who don’t even know it’s coming and it’s cold..As a part owner of a major sports team, you should probably behave as such, not a good look. Especially kids getting sprayed with alcohol

This is just the latest action that has NFL fans up in arms about Matthews.
Continuing To Draw Social Media Ire
The main reaction was people citing the fact it was freezing and that there were kids in the crowd.

Someone like Matthews is going to receive negative comments on just about anything she posts on social media.
That is the reputation she has gained, whether that is fair or not.
It is no secret that there is plenty of alcohol flowing in the stands during any NFL game.
The problem here, according to the backlash, is spraying people with it for no good reason.

Plenty of the backlash is coming from people outside of Kansas City, which is to be expected with how much success the team is having.
This is just the nature of social media and Matthews may even welcome the hate at this point.

Maybe if Brittany takes it down a bit and steps away from the alcohol during the games she wouldn’t be so judged. As far as the oops comments, that’s just immaturity. There will be a day her child will be hurt and she will not like oops as an excuse. How she responded to this is insensitive, irresponsible and something she should not teach her child.
