The Los Angeles Lakers worked out DeMarcus Cousins but chose to sign Tristan Thompson for the remainder of the year.
Not to be disrespectful to Thompson, but he didn’t look like his usual self in limited play last season, whereas Cousins was quite efficient off the bench for the Denver Nuggets.
Cousins’ unapologetic nature has often scared teams away.
Of course, he’s no longer the perennial All-Star caliber player he used to be, but it’s evident that he still had some miles left, even after those major injuries.
That’s why Ice Cube wants Boogie to take his talents back to the U.S. and play in the Big 3 league, shortly after the news broke of his signing in Puerto Rico.

Unsurprisingly, fans on Twitter had plenty to say about Ice Cube’s proposal, with some either making fun of Cousins or advocating for him to get a spot back in the league.

Not yet, he can still add value to good team in the league.

Notably, joining the Big 3 would all but kill any minor chances of ever going back to the NBA.
Joe Johnson was the only player who was able to go back to the league after a brilliant stint in Ice Cube’s league, and even he struggled to be back to his best.
As entertaining as the Big 3 league might be, it’s a tournament for former and retired players.
So, Boogie will need to take a deep look in the mirror and figure out what to do next in his career, as his days in the NBA seem all but over right now.
