For the second and final time this season, the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics squared off.
In this NBA Finals rematch, the Warriors returned to the arena where they capped off the championship.
This was also the sight of Stephen Curry‘s immaculate Game 4 where he scored 43 points and tied the series.

Heading into the game the Warriors were 22-22 and the Celtics sat atop the East at 33-12.
Golden State has struggled mightily on the road this year, and they suffered another loss in this game.

Despite the loss, the Warriors played well enough to win this game.
The stars of the Warriors showed up in a big way in this game.

Also, Klay Thompson wanted to get involved in the scoring flurry from deep.

Thompson had 20 points in the first half but only four in the second.
He continues to look more and more like his former All-Star self.
Curry was once again making highlight play after highlight play in the game.

The reigning Finals MVP continues to terrorize the Celtics and their fans with shots like that.
But, some careless fourth-quarter turnovers by Curry and the rest of the Warriors caused them to blow a double-digit lead.
Once the game went to overtime, it was all Celtics.
Golden State fell apart on defense and the Celtics made them pay.

This was a tough loss for the Warriors in a game they seemingly had in the bag.
But, they have not played well on the road all season and they need to figure out why.
Now with a record of 22-23, Golden State needs to go on a winning streak.
