The Cleveland Guardians are having their home opener on Friday.
They are facing a top team, the Seattle Mariners, and are trying to secure their sixth win of the season.
Before taking the field, they gave local hero Travis Kelce the right to throw the ceremonial first pitch.
Kelce, as you might recall, won the Super Bowl a couple of months ago with the Kansas City Chiefs.
He is one of the best tight ends in football.
Kelce was born in Westlake, a suburb of Cleveland located 12 miles west of downtown Cleveland.
He grew up in Cleveland Heights, and attended Cleveland Heights High School, where he was a three-sport athlete.
There, he played football, basketball, and baseball.
Well, we don’t know if he played baseball judging by this hilarious throw:

Fans, of course, had all kinds of things to say about the “pitch”.
This is a good one, and actually very true:
He’s just used to spiking footballs 🤷♂️

Kelce has spiked so many footballs in his life that he actually may have forgotten he had a baseball on his hand.
Some fans mocked the fact so many people say baseball is actually easy to play, given how hard it was for Kelce to actually throw the ball over the plate.
“Yea bro throwing a baseball is so easy”

Baseball is the hardest sport to play 🤣🤣

He was so hyped!
And the crowd was feeling it too.

All things considered, we all got a laugh from Kelce’s first pitch.
It was just a little bit outside, but who are we to demand perfect command from a guy who is supposed to catch balls and not throw them?
