The Green Bay Packers and New York Jets still have not agreed to the terms of Aaron Rodgers’ trade.
While this saga initially received a lot of airtime and news coverage, the two sides have been quiet as of late.
However, Packers president Mark Murphy was recently asked about a status update and was non-committal in his responses.
Packers president Mark Murphy before leaving for the team’s annual bus tour of Wisconsin wouldn’t say whether he considers the ball to be in their court or in the Jets’ court when it comes to finishing the Aaron Rodgers trade.

Murphy pointed to Brian Gutekunst, effectively saying that the ball was in his court.
After this update came out, many fans were vocal about Murphy’s comments.
Just trade the man… what are y’all waiting for?

As this fan and many others have wondered, what are both teams waiting for?
Rodgers has publicly stated his intention to play for the Jets, and the Packers appear ready to move on from him.

As this fan demands, Murphy’s answers are not sufficient for them, and they are looking for a more concrete response.
Fans of both the Jets and the Packers are unhappy that this deal is not finalized.
Ever since Murphy had his little statement a few weeks ago they packers pr team has fit him with a shock collar to prevent him from putting his foot in his mouth. https://t.co/n5CeMRLtAB

However, one fan mentioned that the Packers might be muting Murphy’s responses moving forward until this deal is finalized.
This came after Murphy’s previous statements, which were heavily discussed and debated among members of sports media.
LMFAO 🤣 Someone finally told him to keep his mouth shut https://t.co/9vOgdXwNpE

As this fan points out, it appears that Murphy has been told to keep his comments to a minimum by the organization.
If reporters want to gather information about this situation moving forward, Murphy might not be the person to ask.
When will this saga finally be resolved, ending with Rodgers officially being dealt to the Jets and the Packers moving on to Jordan Love?
