Cole Anthony of the Orlando Magic has been having a terrific season on a rough team.
The point guard has been putting up 17.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in his second year with the Magic.
Those are incredibly bright spots for a particularly troubled team.
But that’s not the reason why so many people are paying attention to Anthony right now.
This weekend, Anthony is going to participate in the All-Star slam dunk contest and the internet has given us a taste of what’s to come from him.

A tweet from NBA on ESPN shows the bouncy Anthony practicing his dunking skills on the floor in Cleveland and fans of powerful and fun dunks should be getting excited.
Tough Competition
If Anthony hopes to become the slam dunk champion this weekend, he will have to get through some tricky competition.
The lineup for this year’s contest is pretty strong and features some of the best, strongest guys in the NBA.
Jalen Green, Obi Toppin, and Juan Toscano-Anderson are who Anthony will play against.
Right now, Green is the favorite among betting sites but that doesn’t mean the others guys won’t give up without a fight.
As previous dunk contests have shown, the event can be incredibly dramatic and exhilarating.
In the past, players have jumped over family and friends, mascots, and even cars.
We have no idea what Anthony and his peers have planned for this year but they will definitely do it up in a big way, especially since it’s the 75th anniversary of the NBA.
Each dunker will get two dunks in the first round and the top two scores will advance to the final round.
Does Anthony have what it takes to wow the judges and take the crown?
