Everybody thinks of Michael Jordan when talking about the Chicago Bulls, but even Jordan himself admitted that he would have never been as successful if he didn’t have Scottie Pippen by his side.
An elite two-way forward who could lock down the best scorers on Earth, Pippen’s impact on the Bulls went beyond measure, helping them win six NBA championships.
And while Jordan was the undisputed alpha dog and by far the best player, Pippen still holds a special place in NBA fans’ hearts.
That’s why plenty of them took to Twitter to wish him a happy birthday.
Happy G Day Pip, don't let them Boyz hold ya down with the negativity 🥶🌎

I appreciate that as some counter narrative to Pippen being underrated, he is dramatically overrated by some to undermine Jordan's career. Like he was great player, but probably not top 10 player from the 90s.

Notably, Pippen’s reputation has taken a bit of a hit as of late.
He took offense at the way he was portrayed in Jordan’s “The Last Dance,” even though the documentary backed up every single claim with footage and facts.
The six-time NBA champion has gone on a crusade to discredit Jordan as a player, a teammate, and even a person ever since, taking uncalled-for and unanswered shots at him left and right.
Some believe this also has to do with the fact that Jordan’s son, Marcus, is dating his ex-wife, Larsa, but that’s just mere speculation.
Whatever the case, Pippen needs to be careful not to stain his almost perfect legacy as one of the best two-way players of all time, especially considering how many times Jordan went out of his way to shower him with praise and talk about his importance and impact.
