There weren’t a lot of positive things to say about the 2022 Atlanta Falcons.
Their offense barely used their best weapon in Kyle Pitts, Marcus Mariota didn’t do much, and Desmond Ridder barely saw any game-action (And it wasn’t all that encouraging).
But even so, RG Chris Lindstrom was still one of the few building blocks and bright spots for a franchise that somehow had a shot at winning the division until the final month of the campaign.
More importantly, and even though they won’t compete any time soon, the soon-to-be free agent has reaffirmed his commitment to the organization, stating his desire to stay with the team for the remainder of his career:
“I want to be a Falcon for my whole career. The team definitely knows I want to be here, my agent knows I want to be here, so I’m gonna let them do their thing and earn their money.”

Lindstrom is perhaps the most respected presence in the locker room, even winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year award this season:
“The respect of the guys in my [offensive line] room is most important,” Lindstrom said after winning the award. “As long as those guys, and the offense as a whole, know that I’m giving my all on every snap and that I’m trying to be the best I be, that’s most important.”
Every team needs veterans, especially rebuilding teams.
So, it’s nice to see that some players still want to stay loyal to an organization, even if that means not making the playoffs for a while.
