The Utah Jazz are currently the second-best team in the Western Conference, behind the Phoenix Suns, and have handily defeated some of the biggest teams in the league.
This goes to show that nothing is certain in the NBA and even the smartest analysts and experts sometimes don’t know anything.
Remember, this was a team expected to totally tank this year, and most people thought they wouldn’t have even won three games by this point.

The Jazz are surging – and it’s a team effort.
Several players on the roster are playing the best basketball of their careers.
Lauri Markkanen is scoring career-high points per game, while Jordan Clarkson is notching more three-pointers than he ever has.
Meanwhile, Kelly Olynyk has reminded the league about him with his amazing number of assists, and Jarred Vanderbilt has been creating his most steals ever.
The Jazz are currently 8-3 and only the Milwaukee Bucks have more wins.
Is this incredible run by the team going to last?
Jazzercising In The West
As shown above, there are multiple guys on the team who are taking things to another level.
They are all surging at the right time and it’s making the Jazz so much stronger.
There is tough competition in the West – teams like the Suns and Grizzlies and Mavericks aren’t going to give up for the rest of the year.
But The Jazz have dispatched most of their biggest rivals at least once, and they can probably do it again.
Teams are still getting into their routines and figuring themselves out, it is expected that some teams struggling now will get it together soon.
The Jazz will need to remain this strong all season but there is no reason to believe they can’t.
