Now a free agent, Verlander has a ton of teams interested in him, including the Houston Astros, the team with which he has now won two World Series titles.
Yesterday, Verlander met with the Los Angeles Dodgers, as was reported by Jon Heyman.
But according to Dodgers insider Jack Harris, the New York Yankees, New York Mets, and Atlanta Braves are all keeping tabs on the ace.
Can confirm the Dodgers met with free agent pitcher Justin Verlander today, as @JonHeyman first reported
Dodgers need another SP, and Verlander could make sense on a shorter-term, high AAV deal. However, Verlander has several other suitors too, including Yankees, Mets, Braves

Several Teams Interested In Verlander
To nobody’s surprise, Verlander is a hot commodity coming off of his third Cy Young.
The Dodgers are a team that could benefit from having the veteran right-hander in their rotation to go along with Julio Urias and Tony Gonsolin, especially with Walker Buehler on the shelf until 2024.
Though Verlander will be turning 40 years old next season, he still is effective and was a key piece in both of the Astros’ recent World Series title runs.
The Yankees would also be an interesting fit.
If the Mets lose deGrom, then Verlander would be an interesting possibility there as well.
