Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning still has a soft spot for the Denver Broncos.
After all, it’s the franchise that allowed him to continue his playing career after undergoing a neck fusion surgery.
He ended up playing four seasons in Denver and won Super Bowl 50 before hanging up his cleats.
That’s why it was understandable that he verbalized what the Broncos must do with time winding down during their Monday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Peyton and his brother, former New York Giants quarterback Eli, covered the game in an alternate broadcast popularly called “Manningcast.”
Joining them was Broncos Hall of Fame tight end and FOX Sports personality Shannon Sharpe.

With less than one minute left in the game, the older Manning said, “We got three timeouts here. I might use one right here. Let’s use one. Let’s talk about this.”
Eli also commented, “You might want to use a timeout. You don’t want to waste so much time.”
Peyton closed the conversation with, “Yeah, I think we should call timeout right now.”
Throughout the video, he was also frustratingly making the timeout gesture with his hands.
Unfortunately, the Broncos did not heed their suggestion and let time wind down.
Decision-Making Blunders For The Broncos
Aside from not calling a timeout, head coach Nathaniel Hackett had more confidence in Brandon McManus nailing a 64-yard field goal try than Russell Wilson getting five yards for the first down.
It’s a tantalizing proposition, given that the Broncos could have won the game if McManus made it.
However, the odds of making the second-longest field goal in league history are low.
If they had to roll the dice, Denver had a better chance if Wilson had the ball.
After all, Wilson is accustomed to fourth-quarter comeback drives and the Broncos had reached the red zone thrice.
