After over a decade and four titles won with the Golden State Warriors, general manager Bob Myers is officially a free agent and available to the highest bidder in the NBA.
For whatever reason, Myers decided to walk away from the job in the bay area even though reports have surfaced that the team offered him a lucrative contract extension.
Now that Myers is a free agent, he will be a hot commodity on the open market with plenty of teams, like the Los Angeles Clippers, potentially showing interest in bringing him on and paying him an enormous salary.
Although jobs around the league might be intriguing to Myers, there’s a chance that he will jump into the broadcast world, with ESPN rumored to be interested in hiring him.

It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that Myers chooses to go this route with ESPN as a break from running an organization in the NBA.
This also could be a route Myers takes to find the right gig in the NBA, moving forward, rather than just jumping to the next open opportunity and potentially making a mistake that would prove costly for the next few years.
With the Warriors being one year removed from winning an NBA title, Myers will never be as hot a commodity as he is now, which could also change his mind as he will be in the running for a very lucrative contract with his next team.
Only time will tell what path Myers chooses moving forward, whether running another team or taking a step back and joining ESPN instead.
